A giveaway picker your audience will cheer for
Paste the entries, race them live, and let the river pick the winner — fair, transparent and a lot more fun than a name off a list.
A giveaway is only as exciting as the moment the winner is picked. Picking a name off a list in silence is over before anyone notices; racing every entry down a river, live, with your audience shouting for their duck, is the part people remember. Random Duck Race is a free giveaway picker that does exactly that — for Instagram and TikTok comments, YouTube and Twitch chats, club contests and community events.
Pick a giveaway winner in four steps
- Collect the names. Copy the usernames from your comments or chat, or export them to a spreadsheet. Up to 1,000 names fit in one race.
- Add them to the race. Paste them one per line or comma-separated, or import a CSV or Excel file.
- One duck each. When someone appears twice, the game offers to remove the copies, so everybody gets exactly one duck and the same chance.
- Race it live. Share your screen or capture the browser window in your streaming software, press Start, and let the river pick the winner in front of everyone.
Several winners? One race does it
The finishing order is your list of winners: first across the line, then second and third. Open the full result to read every place. If you prefer a separate race for each gift, remove the winner when the race ends and race again with everyone else.
Keep the draw transparent
- Show the list before you start, so everyone can see their name made it in.
- Draw live, on stream or on the big screen, instead of announcing a winner afterwards.
- Keep the proof: download the result image or the full result as a spreadsheet, with every name and time.
- Point doubters to the fairness test: it runs thousands of races with the game’s real physics and shows every duck wins as often as any other.
Let the audience race too
For a live event or a classroom-style stream, open a room: players scan a QR code, type their name and pick a duck on their own phone, then watch it race on the big screen with live standings in their hand. You can approve each player before they join, lock the room when everyone is in, and add a duck for anyone without a phone.
Questions
Is the giveaway picker free?
Yes. Picking a winner is free, with up to 1,000 names per race, and nobody needs to sign up.
Does it collect comments from Instagram or YouTube for me?
No — you paste the entries in yourself. That keeps it simple and private: the names stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
Can I use it for paid raffles or betting?
No. Random Duck Race is a free game for fun: use it for free giveaways, contests and friendly draws where nobody pays to take part. It must not be used for gambling, betting, paid raffles or lotteries (see our terms). Social networks also have their own rules for giveaways — check them before you start.
